It is February 24 2022 when I'm recording this episode. And as you know, Russia has invaded Ukraine. And there's a lot of uncertainty happening right now, I'm certainly getting emails about anxieties that are surfacing, feeling very uncertain, needing to be reminded of the tools that we practice. And I'm definitely wanting to give support with that I'm certainly using all of the tools that I teach myself, whenever I'm feeling anxious or uncertain.

We have so many things that are going on right now and we have had so many things for so long now, that we want to make sure that we're not pushing down or pushing past how we're feeling, because we're numbing out or just getting so used to it, that we're just numbing out and that isn't healthy either.

And so today I'd like to share some insights, some reminders, some tools with you today, making sure that we're not using a situation that's in front of us to align our vibration. But instead, we're aligning our vibration, not to the situation that's in front of us, but to our inner knowing and our alignment.

And I'm gonna get more into that and really understand what I'm talking about with that. And like I said, hopefully have you leave here from this episode today, being able to apply this week, some tools to support you.

So using a situation to determine how you feel, versus how you feel no matter what situation is going on. Right? It's kind of like being in the eye of the storm. What do you do with your energy when you're in the eye of the storm?

You can literally be in the eye of the storm, meaning you can be in the full situation that's going on. Or you can be an observer to the situation that's going on.

We get very used to reacting and responding in our world to things that we see, to things that we hear and in ways that we're used to reacting and responding. I just taught a series inside the studio, about changing patterns, shifting patterns, how do we do that in ourselves? And what do we need to look at when we really want to shift a pattern that doesn't serve us?

This pattern of aligning how we feel putting our vibration into a frequency that is of the situation because I really want you to think about frequency. And I really want everybody to think about vibration, because that's how we resonate. I also want to make it very easy for you to understand when we feel a certain way, we're resonating at a certain frequency. So happiness is a frequency fear is a frequency, they vibrate energetically at different levels.

So if we're looking at a situation that is fearful, or on nerving, or hurtful or scary or worrisome, those are all different frequencies of vibration. So if we're looking at those two situations like for example, we have a war going on right now. And we're looking at possibly TV or news that we're looking on our phone, whatever information we're tapping into, we want to be really careful that we're able to hold our own alignment and vibration, as we learn about what's going on in the world. But what generally happens, and I'm sure you felt this, I know I feel this in myself when it's happening, and I have to pull myself back... It can feel like you're getting sucked into that situation. And you are, your vibration is actually being pulled into that situation and it's starting to resonate with the fear, the worry, the anger, whatever it is of that situation that is a frequency that is bothersome to you.

Now, if there's something that you're watching, that's totally joyful, totally inspiring, harmonious, enlightening, that is different, right, you still want to hold your own vibration, but it's so much easier to do so, because those are very high level frequencies, they're very high level emotions, you feel good, they make you happy. 6:19 But if we're dealing with situations that are like I said, fearful, angry, worrisome, those pull down our frequency, they create anxiety in our body, they may bring up trauma in our body, people who are affected by PTSD, things can be activated, we can deal with real nervousness that comes up in us. And when that happens, our frequency shifts, and our immune system begins to lower because we move into a fight and flight state of being. Meaning that our nervous system begins to think we need to protect ourselves, this is a situation that is bad. This is a situation that we need to flee from, and even if you feel like well, I'm not running away, it's not in front of me, your mind doesn't know the difference between what it is you're looking at and what it is you're actually in.

So if you're taking in that information, your mind is taking in that information. So it's very important number one, to reduce the amount of exposure that you have to very sad, angry, fearful information and images, it's very important because your body takes it as happening every single time. And it's a trauma that is happening to you.

So especially if you are dealing with trauma in your life, or you do deal with anxiety, or you are suffering through a loss right now, you want to be very careful about what you're exposing yourself to. And if you're not suffering through loss, and you're not dealing with trauma, and you don't have any kind of PTSD issues, you still want to be very careful about what you're exposing yourself to what information you're exposing yourself to. Because again, it affects your nervous system, and your nervous system is affecting your immune system. And we need our immune system to be as high and wonderfully elevated as we can, especially because we're dealing with situations now that have been going on for so long and now a new situation that I think we're all praying and hoping will not go on for any length of time. But it may and of course there's always the residual after that.

So if we are preparing ourselves, if we are in a situation that seems prolonged, that sense of our own alignment and being able to align our energy is critical. Because we are not meant to be in stressful situations for prolonged periods of time. We are meant to deal with something, shake it out and move on so much of what I teach our clearing practices. And in Qigong we have these amazing clearing practices, energetic clearing practices, meridian clearing practices, bodily clearing practices, that allow ourselves to release anxiety, that allow ourselves to release stuck energy in the body physically, mentally and emotionally. It is so important to be doing that work right now. It is so important to be clearing your body to be clearing your energy fields to be calming your mind, but to be releasing.

I know some people think that you should just be able to drop into a meditation and completely calm down. And that is not necessarily what can happen for most people. I know for example for myself this morning I woke up and I was quite anxious. I was really bothered by what was going on and it was very early in the morning, I got out of bed went into my office and I began to meditate. And shortly into my meditation, like very quickly, like, within a couple minutes, I realized that I was not settled and that I needed to clear my energy. And so I got up and I do a vigorous clearing.

Qi clearing exercises are more vigorous or more moving, because we're moving the energy removing the blood, and we're getting things out of us, we're releasing in these really wonderful ways. And once we do that, our mind and our breath begins to settle. And of course, I would love for you to come over and join the studio where I can share and teach you these practices.

But I also want you to know that you can do these things right now, in order to move your energy in a more thorough and vigorous and releasing way, you need to just move your body. And there's ways to do this through walking through quickly walking outside, you can do this by turning on happy and inspiring music and dancing. In your home, you can do this through going for a run, you can do this through anything that is more moving and vigorous and which up levels your energy that naturally disperses your Qi and naturally disperses your energy, it gets your body flowing, it opens up your pores and gets the energy in your system from being blocked when we have an emotion. And we start to feel like we have to control that emotion or we feel overwhelmed. And so we need to protect ourselves. Maybe we can feel really scattered, but we can also feel very, very controlled. And that's what I'm seeing a lot more now that people are trying to hold themselves together. This is one of the reasons why I'm talking about this today.

When people get scared when they get overwhelmed when I said you know we've been dealing with stuff now for so long, some people are just kind of numbing out. There is a sense of I've got to keep this together, I we have to keep going. And when we do that we actually begin to drain our lifeforce because our body is spending so much time trying to control our energy trying to keep things in check, trying to protect ourselves that it is thoroughly exhausting, and it is draining. It's like we're just leaking out energy. So it's okay to feel and it's okay to be scared. And it's okay to be worried. And it's okay to be uncertain. And we can use tools that help us to release that. So if you're really physical, and you're someone who likes to punch a punching bag, you know, this morning, I did several minutes of martial arts punching because I needed to get the energy out of my body specifically that I was feeling in my chest. In past episodes, I've done breathing with you long inhale through the nose, and then an even longer exhale out the mouth that's very, very good at calming our energy. But if you really want to disperse your Qi, you want that breath to be quicker and you want to be blowing out your mouth. You know, really let it go.

The other thing that I shared with my members this morning that you can do is you can say "Ha," and Ha is a sound we use in medical Qigong for the hearts energy and "Ha" can open and release the heart, especially if you do what we call a descending ha where you're going from higher to lower. And as you're moving as you're stretching, you know if you're open to doing it outside when you're walking, and you're just able to open up and say, "Haaaaaa" so as you inhale, and then you just exhale, "Haaaa"

Going from higher to lower helps your energy to descend. Because often when we get upset, we start to hold our breath, we start to hold our muscles, we start to have these emotions that begins to redirect our energy up towards our chest up towards our throat and up towards our head. And that is not a healthy direction of energy flow. So we want to redirect that energy flow and this kind of hot releasing descending ha actually helps us to calm down so creating sounds is a beautiful way allowing yourself to blow out very quickly and very forcefully is another releasing way. Shaking the bones, I talk about that all the time is a great Qigong exercise to release. But again, dancing, dancing around your house, putting on up beat music and dancing, even sweating a bit is really great.

Because you want this energy to be able to get out of you, you want to acknowledge it, you want to say I'm scared, I'm worried, I'm overwhelmed. I don't like this, this isn't right, I'm hurting. This is not making me feel good. Don't try to just control that, or redirect that. Because often what happens is when we try to control that energy, and we don't take time to let it out in physical ways, you know, I told my studio members the other day that we work physically, mentally, energetically, emotionally.

And so the difference between just trying to think something through, you know, figuring it out, there's a big difference between doing that and applying the physical body to help with moving to help with breath to integrate it all, then you're working as one aligned unit. And when you work as one aligned unit, you move your energy because our body holds all of our energy, and our mind also can release.

So as we're able to breathe as we're able to move as we're able to sweat, we're acknowledging how we feel, we're not trying to shove it under a rug, or pretend that we're stronger than this, or that everything's gonna be okay. We're not doing any of that. We're acknowledging, hey, I'm pissed, I'm, you know, I'm scared, this is not right. And we're doing this with our own energy, taking care of ourselves, so that we don't redirect it and take it out on someone else, or something else, which is usually what happens, right? I'm sure that you've experienced this, where you try to keep things in, maybe you're trying to control it, you ignore it, you're going on with your life, you're just getting things done, and you're really wanting to feel better, but you're just pushing past it. Well, at some point, it comes out, that energy doesn't just stay there, you either get a stomachache, or you take it out on somebody else. And usually it's a loved one who doesn't deserve it. It's little bits, or it's a big explosion. And that's what we want to avoid. We don't want that to happen, because we have control over our energy.

This is the difference between choosing to calibrate your energy, choosing to align your vibration, the way you want your vibration aligned, instead of being vibrationally calibrated by the situation you're looking at, or the situation that you're standing in.

We have to make the choice ourselves to align our energy, because then we are creating a vibration that helps support not only ourselves, but the vibration of the planet, is very important.

Please do not ever underestimate that the vibration that you carry around the thoughts you think the prayers you put out how you hold another person or an event in your heart. Don't ever think that that does not make a difference, because it does, you are creating a frequency that is going out into the world that is shifting and helping a frequency that you want to create. So sometimes we can feel so far away from what's going on. And we can feel like I have no control over this. But we really do, we have control over our own frequency. We have control over how we treat ourselves. We have control over how we treat another person and animal the planet. We have control over what we think and what we send out vibrationally in the world. And it's so important to remember that.

I think it's so important that we gently and lovingly remind each other of that because we need to support each other now as a community more than any other time we need to come together. This is all about coming together. That's what all of this has been about. It's about being able to take responsibility for who we are for our own energy and being able to support each other and come to a respect and an honor with ourselves first and with each other and with the planet. That is why this is happening. The more we can do it not only will be be healthier and happier and be more relaxed and joyful and creative, but we will be healing ourselves and each other and the planet.

And just to review a little bit, we don't want to ignore how we're feeling. When we try to control it, we're really pushing stuff down. And we're actually exhausting our energy, and we're lowering our immune system and lowering our vibration. So we want to honor it, and we want to get it out. We want to do it in safe ways. We want to do it in healthy ways. But movement, breath, and ha that descending heart is a great way for us to release and to open our heart, open our breath, get ourselves going, then after that, after we feel that release, and again, if you're a person who loves to work out, this is great, you work out, you get yourself sweating, you get yourself moving, you listen to that positive music, if you're someone who likes to walk, take a walk, breathe in those trees, right. Breathe in the grass, breathe in the ocean, breathe in the mountains, breathe in the city, even if you're in a city, breathe in life, breathe in beautiful vibrating life.

And then you want to pause, and you want to take some time to really calibrate your energy to where it is you want. So if you're looking for evenness, if you're looking for peace, if you're looking for joy, the simplest way to do that is to sit or stand or to continue on a walk in a gentle way and to begin to picture things that make you feel ease, that make you feel joyful, that make you feel grateful, that make you feel peace that make you feel love.

And sometimes when we're dealing with really difficult situations, I often tell people just begin with a color that you love. Just begin with a memory that you love, not a sad memory, but a memory that really makes you happy. You can also look at something directly in front of you, especially if it's nature and just really study it. This begins to align your frequency in a more elevated way in a more positive way. And from there, you begin to determine how it is that you want to feel. And it just gets better and better and better. Breathe this in as you think about it, and feel it move through every cell of your body like you are literally breathing in this aligned vibration. It doesn't take very long, it feels really good. So often you want to do it for longer. But seriously, a minute of doing this will help shift you back into who you truly are into your true self and your true alignment.

And yes, you might have to do this many times a day. I know right now I am literally recalibrating my energy as often as I can. And as often as I remember, I've put a string around my wrist, I see the string and I say that's right, let me recalibrate. Just because there's so much stuff going on in the world. And there's so much stuff we're picking up from each other. And it's really important that we remember that before we do anything, we want to be in that alignment. So put a string around your wrist or write up sticky notes. You know, ask your partner, you know, remind me let's remind each other that we want to make sure that we're aligning our energy. Take that 30 seconds to a minute to do it. You know, get yourself used to realigning your energy and you will feel so much better. It doesn't take very long. And the more consistent you are with it the biggest changes you will see. I hope that that helps us maybe think in a different broader view today.

And just remember that we all need support that we're we're all going through this and the more we calibrate the more we align our energy the more we tune into who we are. We really do raise the consciousness not only of ourselves, but we begin to raise the consciousness of the planet. Thank you so much for tuning in. I will see you in the next episode.
